Dental X-Rays (Digital)

Dental x-rays are an important tool used by dentists to evaluate your oral health. They allow the dentist to look at what is happening beneath the surface of your teeth and gums, which is where many of the oral problems we see can be found. X-rays help the dentist to diagnose areas of decay between the teeth, infections in the bone, abscesses or cysts, and some types of tumors that they would not otherwise be able to detect.

Our office utilizes digital x-rays, which are faster and safer tools for diagnosis and treatment than with traditional x-rays. Digital radiography units are highly sensitive so that the amount of x-ray radiation is up to 80% less than with conventional x-rays, and the images can be viewed instantly on computer screens, eliminating the use of chemicals for developing.
